OWEN’S STUNNER EARNS HOTSPUR THE POINTS 'Cometh the hour’, ‘Cometh the Man’ is a well known phrase lived up to on this occasion by Holyhead Hotspur’s Kenleigh Owen whose stunning 20 yard effort earned Campbell Harrison’s side a welcome three points. The winning goal on 60 minutes broke a deadlock which should have been broken much earlier in the first half that Hotspur dominated without the cutting edge at the business end. The lack of finish by the hosts gave confidence to the spirited Wrexham based outfit who went close themselves, as they did not with Alex Jones making a crucial goal line clearance, and to be fair the visitors belied their near basement position and with better composure themselves could have pinched a point! Holyhead Hotspur FC is one of the most progressive football clubs in Anglesey and North Wales.

The first team plays in the Huws Gray Cymru Alliance League at the New Stadium, which was opened in a ceremony on 28 July 2007 with a friendly match played against a Wolves XI.
