silver accred 400 Holyhead Hotspur Peibio has been awarded Silver Accreditation under the FAW / McDonald's Club Accreditation Scheme.

The presentation was made at the Anglesey Junior Football League meeting in Llangefni on Monday 17th March. Coach Coordinator Andrew Devlin received the award on behalf of the Club from North Wales Coast Football Association General Secretary Alun Foulkes and Anglesey Junior League's Safeguarding Officer Fiona Thomas (pictured).

The Accreditation scheme highlights the important role clubs play in providing a quality football experience for junior players. Four defined levels have been established to recognise how clubs have placed safety, welfare and enjoyment of players at the centre of the club philosophy and constitution.

There are four defined levels within the scheme; which are STANDARD, BRONZE, SILVER and GOLD. Each of the Anglesey Junior League clubs achieved at least a Standard award and the League itself was recognised as being one of only two fully accredited leagues in the whole of Wales.

The Club Secretary said: "This is welcome recognition by the FAW and McDonald's for the hard work and commitment that the Club's volunteers have put in over the years. The Club has demonstrated high standards in both its structure and its commitment to coach education and will continue to strive to improve on this."
