Easter Soccer School Success

Holyhead Hotspur Peibio Youth recently held a 3 day soccer school during the Easter break, 60 children aged between 5 and 11 years old attended each of the 3 days in glorious sunshine.

On day 1 the children enjoyed some fun football related games that incorporated passing, control, dribbling and running with the ball. All the children enjoyed the sessions.

On day 2 the sessions were based on defending, shooting and goalkeeping, also the 5 and 6 year olds had the opportunity to have their photo taken with the Cookson Cup. The Cookson Cup was won by the First Team only a couple of weeks ago, the trophy has not been won by a Holyhead team for over 50 years.

On day 3 we held a mini Champions League tournament, all the children were split into teams where they battled it out and the eventual winners were Real Madrid.

For their efforts over the 3 days all the children received a medal and a certificate handed to them by Mr Richard Parry of Holyhead Hotspur. Overall the soccer school again was a massive success; all the children were well behaved and are a credit to themselves and their parents. I would like to thank all my coaches who gave up their time to assist and make it a really good 3 days for the children.
