News from the New Stadium

sunset over the new stadium holyheadFollowing last week's away win Holyhead were hoping to continue their pre-season friendlies with their first win at home. Holyhead got off to a great start when Jack Griffiths scoring his second goal in two weeks, headed the ball in following across from Mel McGuinness. The lead was short lived with Ben Chippendale equalising for Pwllheli meaning the score was tied 1-1 at half time.

The second half did not get off to a great start for Holyhead as they went behind in the 55th minute following an own goal. Things got worse for Hotspur in the 62nd minute when Adam Hill put Pwllheli ahead 1-3. Holyhead refused to give up and it looked like a fight back back might be on the cards when Dean Garmey scored in the 65th minute to make it 2-3.

Even though Holyhead kept trying they couldn't find the equalising goal and they open the home pre-season friendlies with a spirited defeat.
