News from the New Stadium

Holyhead Hotspur Reserves backed up their

impressive 1-0 win at Welsh Alliance 2 side

Llanerchymedd win with another pre season

another victory against higher opposition, this

time in the form of Gwynedd League team

CPD Glantreath.

The visitors started very confidently, carving

out several opportunities in the first few

minutes of the game. However Glantraeth

soaked up the early pressure and were

looking to hit on the break.

In the 15th minute Holyhead thought they

had taken the lead through a neat finish from

Deian Parry. However it was adjudged offside

by the referee.

It wasn't long before they had the

breakthrough. A neat passage of play, aled to

a whipped cross by Left Back Kyle Murphy

that found its way to Casey Gregg who

confidently slotted home inside the box. 1-0.

The visitors then found themselves two goals

up. Midfielder Tom Scott pounced on a loose

pass and won the ensuing foot race to cut

back and slip through Deian Parry whose

whipped finish was too well placed for the

keeper to stand a chance. 2-0

The home team had chances to halve the

deficit however Reserves keeper Dan

Williams came up with a couple of big saves

and was faultless in the first half.

HT 0-2
